Prediction-market platform Kalshi has announced a $3 million commitment to Housing Works through a multiyear partnership supporting healthcare, vocational training and community services.
According to the New York Post, funding will support the nonprofit’s 125th Street Health Center in East Harlem, expand its “Ready for Work” employment program and develop community outreach hubs at retail locations.
Housing Works described the commitment as its largest single-donor gift, with the partnership intended to help more New Yorkers access care regardless of their ability to pay.
Housing Works was founded during New York’s AIDS crisis and provides services for people facing homelessness, low incomes and barriers to healthcare. Its work combines medical care, housing assistance, employment opportunities and community support.
The organization treats stable housing as a foundation for health, connecting residents with medical providers and other support services. Its programs include assistance for people living with HIV and other chronic conditions, alongside efforts to expand affordable and supportive homes across the city.
