A six-month-old child died after being found unconscious inside a home in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, authorities said.
Police responded to the residence near Flatlands Avenue and East 99th Street, where officers discovered the baby unresponsive. Emergency medical personnel transported the child to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police are continuing to gather evidence and interview individuals connected to the incident as they work to determine what happened inside the home.
