New York City police are searching for a suspect accused of pushing a 40-year-old man onto subway tracks at the 125th Street station in Harlem following an argument.

According to police, the incident occurred inside the station at West 125th Street and St. Nicholas Avenue. Investigators said an argument between the two men escalated before the suspect allegedly shoved the victim off the platform and onto the tracks.

People nearby quickly intervened and helped pull the victim back onto the platform before a train entered the station, preventing what could have been a far more serious incident.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries and was reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect fled the station following the incident, and no arrest has been announced. The NYPD is continuing its investigation and searching for the individual involved.
