Early Wednesday, Donald Trump proclaimed victory in the U.S. presidential race shortly after partial counts showed him leading in pivotal swing states.

“This has been the greatest political movement ever,” Trump declared from his Florida headquarters, although the official outcome was still pending. He celebrated the win as a “great victory for the American people,” promising a “golden age” and a “healing” for America, with chants of “USA” from his supporters.

Trump highlighted the Senate shift back to Republican control as a historic mandate, saying it granted Republicans a central role in Washington, including influence over cabinet approvals and potential Supreme Court appointments.

Reflecting on an attempt on his life at a rally in Pennsylvania, Trump attributed his survival to divine purpose, saying God had “saved his life for a reason.”

He projected confidence after being favored to win Pennsylvania, Georgia, and North Carolina. Experts had earlier stated that Pennsylvania’s victor had a 90% likelihood of winning the election.

Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also congratulated Trump, declaring it “in the bag.” Other Republican leaders, including former Speaker Kevin McCarthy, echoed the victory sentiments.

Kamala Harris trailed with 214 electoral votes to Trump’s 267, with multiple states undecided but posing a challenging path for her campaign. As the night wore on, supporters at Harris’ watch party appeared discouraged, and her team announced she would not speak that evening.

Trump expressed gratitude to his family, wife, and Elon Musk, referencing rockets and a recent hurricane in North Carolina. He voiced support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr., saying the candidate would “make America healthy again,” though Trump claimed oil issues for himself.

Ending his speech, Trump celebrated the moment as a triumph for democracy and reaffirmed America’s strength under his leadership, noting the absence of wars during his presidency.
