President Joe Biden declared on Tuesday, following Donald Trump’s victory in another primary in New Hampshire, that they are poised for a showdown in the November presidential election.
Biden emphasized the high stakes, asserting that the very foundations of U.S. democracy and individual freedoms, spanning from the right to choose to the right to vote, are on the line.
Donald Trump’s victory in the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, marking his second consecutive statewide win, has led President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign to assert that Trump is now all but certain to become the Republican Party’s nominee for the 2024 election.
Biden’s campaign manager, Julie Chavez Rodriguez, stated that the results confirm Trump’s dominance within the GOP and signal the triumph of the MAGA movement over traditional Republicans.
She emphasized that Trump’s “extreme agenda” would be put to the test in a general election against Biden, the only person to have defeated him at the ballot box.
